The Network on young Polydrug Users can be considered the final step of a cooperation history which started in 2006 during the preparatory phase of the SEID project as well as the first step of a new “venture” which aims at providing an effective and synergic coordination and an efficient communication among European Organizations working on drugs matter with a specific focus on young polydrug users.
The creation of this network has the strategic goal of ensuring that project objectives will be maintained and strengthened also after the end of the project and strengthening European cooperation in the fields of prevention, therapy and care, social inclusion for young poly-drug users.
During the Final Event of the SEID – Strategic European Inventory (July 6th, 2010) the Net.Ypu has been announced by a group of European private and public organizations: FICT (Italy), Regione del Veneto (Italy), Co.Ge.S. (Italy), AIC (Italy), Il Seme (Italy), Asociacion Proyecto Hombre (Spain), Asmoune (France), Fundatia Floarea Ialomiteana (Romania), Institute for Ecology of Cognition (Bulgaria), KETHEA (Greece), REAPN Portugal (Portugal), MONAR (Poland), Tannenhof Berlin (Germany), Trempoline asbl (Belgium).
The network, which has been presented in Brussels for the first time, is still an informal organization which will end up its steps towards a structured organization by august 31st, 2010. |
